Bold= showing a fearless spirit; adventurous; confident; standing out prominently.
Sounds about right. Today I did my best to live as so. I went door-to-door with Global cards and got a great lead to follow up with tomorrow; I ran with my Vibram shoes for the first time (!!!); I confidently affirmed my goals upon waking and (soon) upon sleeping. And despite cancellations of my appointments, I had an adventure filled day.
It doesn’t take extraordinaire events to live boldly. All you need is a shift in perspective and a dedication to standing out prominently.

“Fortes fortuna adiuvat.”
I happened upon this quote last week and instantly memorized it for future reference.
This week is about being bold. Going out of my comfort zone; standing out; focusing on my goals; pursuing my goals.
Fortune favors the bold indeed.
How do you own your self? How do you take responsibility and pride in being uniquely you?
- Accept yourself
- Have confidence in yourself
- Make no apologies

Today was a rough day, but I’m proud of myself for two moments when I took control of my emotions and focused on the good.
Moment One: I was in a negative mood in the morning. On the car ride to volunteer at TNT, I sang affirmations to the radio and turned my “frown” upside down.
Moment Two: After walking in on a potential job only to find someone already hired, I was pretty upset. Instead of curling up in a ball, I applied for 5 more jobs, followed up on an interview, and emailed a potential videography client.

“That’s just me.” –Carrie Bradshaw, Sex and the City
This is one of my favorite quotes from Sex and the City. Apparently, I’m the only one–I pinpointed the episode down in IMDB, looked under memorable quotes, and it was not listed. Oh well, this goes with my theme for the week!
Being an individual is truly an extraordinaire thing. Not many people have the confidence and courage to be themselves when everyone around them tries to make them conform. My goal this week? Stand by my beliefs, my individuality, and to my self be true.
How can you be you this week?
I am officially obsessed with these shoes…I need to get them ASAP!
So I had one interview today, and I have one hopeful for a full-time position (which I’m not sure I want?). I love working when it’s a fun environment, interesting and enriching, and I sure hope I can find something like that to add to my schedule. I’m very hopeful for today’s interview because it’s part-time, won’t interfere with any of my volunteer shifts, weddings, meetings or classes.
We shall see!
